Cookie & Analytics Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used by ResultFolio, including essential sign-in cookies and optional PostHog analytics and session replay.

1. Essential cookies

ResultFolio uses cookies and similar storage that are needed to operate the Service, including to keep you signed in, protect the application, and remember display preferences such as theme. These are required for core features. Blocking them will prevent the signed-in product from working correctly.

2. Payments

Paid subscriptions use Stripe Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal. Stripe may set cookies and process payment data on Stripe-hosted pages under Stripe’s policies. ResultFolio does not store full payment card numbers.

3. Analytics

Product analytics are optional. ResultFolio uses PostHog only after you choose Accept analytics. Until then, and if you choose Reject non-essential, PostHog does not load in your browser, page views are not sent, and session replay does not start.

Rejecting non-essential analytics does not block ResultFolio. Essential sign-in cookies still work.

When you accept, PostHog may use cookies or similar storage to:

  • Record page views with a simplified path that does not include share tokens or query strings
  • Record selected product events, such as signup, billing, or job workflow events
  • Associate events with your ResultFolio user and organization after you sign in

We do not automatically capture every click. We do not send customer names, customer phone numbers or emails, VINs, signatures, report notes, photo URLs, share tokens, or form field values to PostHog as event properties.

4. Session replay

Session replay starts only after you accept analytics, and only on signed-in product pages. It may record a reconstruction of the product to help us understand usability and errors. Current controls include:

  • Form inputs are masked
  • Designated text such as notes is masked
  • Photos, canvases, and similar surfaces are blocked from replay
  • Public share pages never load PostHog, so they have no page views, replay, or identity

These controls reduce risk; they do not guarantee that every sensitive pixel is hidden in every browser. Do not paste secrets into ordinary text fields.

5. Your choices

When optional analytics are available, we show a banner with Accept analytics and Reject non-essential. Nothing is preselected. Your choice is stored in your browser so it is remembered on later visits.

You can change your choice anytime with Cookie settings in the website footer or below. Blocking essential cookies in your browser will still stop sign-in from working.
